Impact of airport infrastructure investment on the growth of the Angolan economy: An Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag analysis

Purpose: The airport infrastructure plays capital importance in the development of national trade. It facilitates flow people, goods, and services more quickly. Thus, given its importance, this study seeks to analyze impact Angolan investment between 2000 – 2020.Design/methodology/approach: article presents results quantitative qualitative research, based on narrative review output Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) technique, which aimed growth Angola GDP per capita.Findings: stationarity tests performed shows mixed integration both I(0) I(1), justifies used ARDL. Similarly, bounds test showed that there is a very strong relationship capita short long run. However, case study, exists negative, meaning negatively impacts run run.Research limitations/implications: research has been among first capita. Besides contribution some limitations are difficulty find data literature about transportation Angola.Originality/value: fundamental step can help public private entities making decisions aim improve management transport infrastructure.
